The honest version

Which one fits.

Where Starshipit fits

  • You sell on platforms other than Shopify and want one shipping tool across them.
  • You ship in New Zealand as well as Australia.
  • You want automatic carrier selection rules. OrderOps does not have them; the bench shows every quote and highlights the cheapest.
  • You need carriers outside the OrderOps line-up today and cannot wait for an on-request integration.

Where OrderOps fits

  • You run Shopify stores and want orders, inventory, picking, packing and shipping in one system with two-way sync.
  • Your packers work at a bench and you want a keyboard-first flow with labels printing to a thermal printer with no dialog.
  • You pick from racks and want walking-order pick routes on an iPad that keeps working when the wifi drops.
  • You want the true landed cost and margin of every order, not only the shipping cost.

We moved our own warehouse from Starshipit to OrderOps. The Ivory & Deene story says what changed, and what did not.

What OrderOps is

Three things we built it around.

01
Shopify native

An extension of your Shopify.

Two-way live sync, seconds after checkout. Orders land the moment they are paid, and fulfilment, tracking and stock flow straight back.

02
Built for the bench

Fewer clicks. More parcels.

One queue, one pack panel, one key to print and move on. Keyboard first, scan when you want it, no print dialogs.

03
AI at the core

Each day faster than the last.

Walking-order pick routes through your racks, and packing suggestions learned from how your team really packs.

Before you switch

Switching questions, answered.

Is OrderOps a Starshipit replacement?

For a Shopify store that picks and packs in-house, yes: OrderOps does the shipping job and the picking, packing, printing and inventory jobs around it. If you sell on other platforms too, Starshipit covers more of them.

Can I keep my carrier accounts if I switch?

Yes. Both tools connect your own carrier accounts. On OrderOps you connect Australia Post eParcel, StarTrack, Team Global Express, TNT and DHL Express directly, plus Aramex in beta, and other carriers on request.

Does OrderOps have carrier auto-selection rules?

No. The pack bench quotes every enabled service live and highlights the cheapest, and the packer chooses. We think a visible quote beats a hidden rule, but it is a real difference.
