How to choose

Three questions that settle it.

Do you sell beyond Shopify?

If yes, a multi-platform shipping tool such as Starshipit, Shippit or ShipStation covers more ground. OrderOps is Shopify only, on purpose: that is what makes the two-way sync and the multi-store queue possible.

Do you hold your own carrier contracts?

If you have an Australia Post eParcel or StarTrack contract, OrderOps ships on it with no markup and no per-booking fee. If you do not, a marketplace model can get you moving sooner.

Is shipping the whole problem, or the last step?

If your day is also picking from racks, packing at a bench, printing labels and keeping stock honest across stores, OrderOps replaces several tools rather than one. That is the trade we made on our own floor.

Is there a free Starshipit alternative?

OrderOps is free for up to 50 orders a month — every feature, no card. Shippit also publishes a free Lite plan for up to 1,000 bookings a month, with a single carrier; shipping on your own rates there carries a per-booking fee.

Which alternative keeps my carrier rates?

OrderOps and Starshipit both connect your own carrier accounts. ShipStation lists bringing your own account from its Standard plan. Shippit offers your own rates as an option with a per-booking fee on its free tier.

Can OrderOps import my Starshipit history?

OrderOps reads orders from Shopify, so open and recent orders are on the bench as soon as you connect. Historical shipping records stay in your old tool; keep read access for a while.

What if my carrier is not on the OrderOps list?

Tell us. Carriers outside the line-up are integrated on request, and we say so on the pricing page.
