Connect your Shopify stores

Install per store, what syncs, and how multi-store organisations work.

OrderOps installs into each Shopify store separately, and every store you connect joins the same organisation. This page covers what syncs, how multi-store works, and the limits to know before you connect.

One install per store, one organisation

Connecting a store uses Shopify OAuth — you approve the app in Shopify admin and the store appears in OrderOps. Connect a second store the same way and it joins the same organisation: one team, one set of carrier accounts, one queue. Orders from every store land in the same picking, packing and shipping queue, with the store name shown on each order so packers always know which brand they are boxing.

Your team signs in to OrderOps with magic-link email — we send a sign-in link, there are no passwords to manage.

What syncs

  • Products and variants — names, images, dimensions and HS codes flow in on create, update and delete. Deleted products are archived, not erased, so history survives.
  • Inventory levels — stock edits made in Shopify (manual, POS, other apps) sync to OrderOps in near real time.
  • Orders — creation, edits, cancellations and refunds. Cancelled orders restock automatically; refunds restock only the refunded lines. Both are idempotent and logged.

Every inbound webhook is HMAC-verified and deduplicated, so a Shopify retry never applies the same change twice.

Multi-store stock

With more than one store, you choose how inventory behaves: a pooled total shared across sister stores, or fully independent per-store stock. That decision — and the source-of-truth setting that resolves drift — is covered in Pooled vs independent stock.
