Voiding & reprinting labels
What can be undone before manifest, and what to do after.
Before manifest, a label can be voided and the carrier charge reversed. After manifest it can't. Reprints are free and safe at any point. Here's how each works.
Voiding before manifest
On AusPost and StarTrack, a void goes to the carrier and cancels the shipment — charges reversed. Do it any time before the shipment lands on a closed manifest.
The beta carriers behave differently:
- Team Global Express: voids are recorded in OrderOps only — nothing is sent to TGE. Clear cancellations with your TGE rep.
After manifest
If a manifested parcel isn't actually shipping, take it up with the carrier directly through your account channel. Then fix tomorrow: the cheapest correction is a void before close, so make a pre-manifest check part of the end-of-day routine.
Reprinting
A reprint sends the stored label file to your printer again. No new shipment, no new charge, no new tracking number — the same label, printed twice. If the printer chewed one, reprint without thinking. The macOS print client handles the rest.
Who can void
Voiding is its own permission, separate from printing labels and from closing manifests. By default packers can ship and void; manifest close sits with managers and owners.
